Natural Colon Liver Cleanse

Lower Your Risk of Cancer and go LIQUID!

In the journey to fantastic health, a natural colon liver cleanse may help you on your way (I say “may” instead of “will” for a reason which I explain below).

Below, I explain how to cleanse your liver and colon, and how it works. But first, let’s take a quick look at the colon and the liver.

The colon is usually about 5 feet long and lies at the end of the small intestine. Its primary function is to absorb water, nutrients and salts from the partially digested food that comes from the small intestine. A number of problems can happen with the colon, including the dreaded colon cancer.

You’re liver is absolutely essential and you don’t want to mess about with it. From enzyme production and hormones to detoxifying the blood and processing medications, it plays a big part in the health of close to every system in the body. A liver that functions poorly can lead to low energy, depression and eventually liver disease.

As you can probably tell, the colon and liver are absolutely essential to maintaining health and wellbeing. For this reason, a colon liver cleanse may have a positive effect (though the benefits of healthy eating promise a more reliable result).

What is a Colon Liver Cleanse?

A colon cleanse is different to a liver cleanse.

Colon cleansing is about removing feces and other toxins from the colon and intestinal tract.

The reasoning behind colon cleansing argues that food enters into the intestine and rots, leading to a variety of negative symptoms such as fever and causing pus. By cleaning out the colon, a person may avoid these symptoms and increase the health of his or her colon.

There is a range of ways that a person can cleanse their colon.

Some use colon hydrotherapy (also known as colonic irrigation) to clean their colon. This involves using tubes to inject water into the colon via the rectum. Sometimes, this water is mixed with herbs or other liquids.

Another way people have been known to cleanse their colon is with their diet, by adding fiber, herbs, supplements and laxatives. People have also been known to do a milk thistle liver cleanse.

For a liver cleanse, you’ll typically spend a weekend consuming grapefruit, Epsom salts and water, all at varying intervals. Some of the stricter cleanses will require you to use an enema before you begin.

The reason some people say “colon liver cleanse” is that they can be used consecutively to increase the benefits.

Colon Kidney Liver Cleanse? Huh? What’s that?

After a colon cleanse, many people follow up with a kidney cleanse and then finish with a liver cleanse, hence the “colon kidney liver cleanse”.

They say that it is important to do the liver cleanse after the colon and kidney cleanses.

The liver is full of toxins and when you do a liver cleanse, the liver will release these toxins into the body to be processed by the kidney and colon. You want the kidney and colon the remove those toxins rapidly, otherwise more problems could arise.

For this reason, some people believe that it is important that the kidney and colon be cleansed first, as they will then be more effective at removing the toxins released by the liver.

What’s the best solution?

In my opinion, the best solution is to eat a heathy diet and get lots of exercise. These 15 foods that cleanse the liver, among others.

The scientific evidence behind colon cleansing and detoxification in general is relatively scarce (more information here). Some scientists even say that “toxins” as a word has been invented by people trying to sell “detox” products.

Given the lack of evidence, my suggestion would be to work hard on your diet, not some cleanse which “might” work.

Often, diet is the cause of the problem, so unless you fix your diet, the disease, sickness or “toxins” are going to come right back.

Juicing is a great way to enhance your diet and increase the amount of nutrients you get. Provided you get enough fiber from eating fruits and vegetables, juicing can be used to dramatically improve your diet, health and wellbeing. Also, start exercising and build up a sweat on a regular basis – your body will rejoice!

Immediately below, you’ll find a few juicing recipes which you can use to benefit your liver and colon, as well as increase your overall health and wellbeing.
