If you want awesome juice, the Omega 8005 Juicer does a stellar job. It has been designed to provide you with juice of the highest quality. It generates very little heat so enzymes and other goodies are kept intact for you to enjoy. It will also keep going and going and going… and if it doesn’t, Omega will replace it immediately.

The Omega 8005 Juicer is a fantastic juicer.

The Omega 8005 Juicer is a superb masticating juicer that will spin out amazing juice. It tastes delightful and is also rich in nutrients. And thanks to the wonderful engineers over at Omega, it’s going to last you a while.

Many people have stumbled on this juicer and declared it “the best they’ve ever had”. I’m not sure if I would say it is the BEST, but it’s certainly up there.

It’s also extremely versatile (maybe we should high-five these engineers?) – Along with juicing, you can use the Omega 8005 Juicer as a food processor, pasta extruder, homogenizer and grinder.

However, for the purposes of this review, I’m going to focus on its juicing function.

A Slow Motor is Better

Its engine runs at the low speed of 80 rpms. Why in the world would anyone want a slow motor? I mean, doesn’t that mean juicing will take longer?

Yep, I won’t lie – with this juicer, you’ll be in the kitchen for a fair bit longer than with a centrifugal juicer.

But there is an excellent reason behind having a slow motor. It minimizes foaming, clogging and heat build-up. This means you get an extremely high juice-yield with juice that has pretty much ALL its original enzymes.

Rather than destroying the enzymes (which centrifugal juicers do to some extent), they are preserved.

So what would you prefer – a juice made in record time lacking nutrients, or a juice taking a little longer with maximal nutritional value?

Pros

  • With a slow motor, this juicer is very quiet.
  • Low RPM so enzymes survive. This means healthier juice for you.
  • You can taste the super nutritional value.
  • Omega are known to stand by their 10 year warranty.
  • Very well built; sturdy.
  • As long as you chop produce properly, it rarely clogs.

Cons

  • Since it’s slow, it’s not a good juicer if you’ll be making juice for a big family.
  • Tends to be a lengthy cleaning process.

Should you get one?

If you’ve been juicing for a while and know your stuff, the Omega 8005 Juicer is a great choice. Due to its extremely high quality, you will enjoy the benefits of juicing even more.
