Juice fasting is pretty simple. Here’s an easy juice fasting diet plan:

  1. Don’t eat food.
  2. Drink as much fresh juice as you feel like.

It’s that simple. You don’t need to read a complicated book about it or attend a course. All you need to do is DO IT. You’ll be juicing for weight loss.

However, like most things, there are a few things worth noting, but don’t let these things stop you from following through.

Ideal ingredients to focus on include carrot, celery, beetroot, apple, pear, spinach, broccoli, kale and cucumber.

While tomato and citrus fruits are tasty to juice, avoid drinking too much of them as they are very acidic. Focus on the veggies mentioned above, using fruit to sweeten it up only if you can’t bear the taste otherwise.

Also, remember to drink lots of water. And I mean, LOTS. Aim for three liters a day at a minimum. You should be drinking this much water even if you’re NOT fasting. Try a 21 day juice fast.

If it’s winter or you just want a change, you can also take vegetable broth. Put a pot on the stove with some water and veggies like onion, carrot, garlic and potato. Simmer for 30 minutes to an hour and then drain the water into some sort of container. Don’t eat the vegetables, but drink the broth. It should taste pretty damn good!

Pros

  • You’ll feel incredible, with a renewed sense of energy and physical vitality.

  • It can help with drug addictions (alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, etc) by accelerating the detoxing process and minimizing withdrawal symptoms.
  • It’s the perfect way to lose weight, break negative eating habits and start all over again with a wonderful healthy diet.

Cons

  • While there are many anecdotal reports of outstanding weight loss (word of mouth), there is currently no convincing scientific evidence to support this hypothesis. Mind you, this doesn’t mean it doesn’t work, just that no one’s bothered to do the research yet.
  • A juice fasting diet plan can be hard to stick to. While simple, it doesn’t provide the same comfort that eating food does. With that said however, a committed person will find it easy.
  • You may feel mild negative symptoms such as tiredness, hunger or dizzy. Don’t worry, it’s just your body adjusting!

It goes without saying that you must check with your doctor before beginning a juice fasting diet plan.
