Read that article. Or you can just read this one. They both say the same thing. Mostly.

Anyway, let’s get into it.

Let’s talk about how to prepare carrot juice at home.

It’s pretty damn simple.

You’re going need a few things.

First, get yourself some carrots. That part is pretty straightforward.

Once you’ve got your carrots, now you’re ready to make some carrot juice. But how the hell do you do it? You’ll need an appliance.

Ideally, you have a juicer. If you don’t have a juicer yet, read my juicer reviews and ratings and go get yourself on of those pretty babies. Just one of those will transform your health more than any pills you could buy from the local drugstore. Seriously, do it. Spend the cash and think of it as well spent. Sure, it might set you back a few hundred dollars. But how much junk have you spent money on before? This is not a junk. A juicer will transform your life.

If, despite my encouragements, you still refuse to get a juicer, you’ll need a blender. Or, at the very least, you’ll need a manual juicer.

If you have a manual juicer, I’m proud of you. But I also feel sorry for you. Think of how hard and dense carrots are. Now think about how much energy you’re going to have to use to juice them with a manual juicer. Like I said, get a real juicer already.

With a normal juicer, it’s dead simple to know how to prepare carrot juice at home. Simply use the juicer and make some carrot juice.

With a blender, it’s a little more complicated. Chop the carrots up and place them in the blender. Please use a powerful blender, otherwise it will break itself upon your carrots. After blending your carrots with water in your blender, let it stand for 30 minutes or so. After that time, strain that juice! With any luck, you’ll have yourself some carrot juice. But how long did that take? 1 hour?

Get a juicer. It’ll take like 5 minutes to make great-tasting, delicious, your-tastebuds-will-orgasm carrot juice.

I hope you learned something about how to prepare carrot juice at home. This article was intended as a bit of fun, but it’s also meant to be educational.

Now go get a juicer if you haven’t already! Go check out the health benefits of juicing if you need any more inspiration.

Can A Smoker Benefit From Juicing?

Basics

Benefits

Health

Juicing

Random

benefits

cigarettes

juicing

smoker

smoking

Are you a smoker? You probably want to know,

Can a smoker benefit from juicing?

As the health benefits of juicing are so awesome, of course a smoker can benefit from juicing. This is a silly question. It likes asking if a sick person can benefit from medicine.

Of course they can.

Another way to put it is this.

Can someone who enjoys consuming arsenic (a lethal poison) benefit from juicing?

Probably, so long as they live long enough to drink a juice. But would they be even better if they stopped consuming arsenic? Of course.

Catch my drift?

Can a smoker benefit from juicing?

Sure, but this doesn’t change the fact that smoking cigarettes is dumb. I used to do it. I’d wake up in the morning and light up. I’d open a beer and I’d light up. I smoked all the time. With my morning coffee, on my work breaks, on the way to the train station and before I went to bed. I was addicted to a poisonous substance.

If you’re a smoker, you’re addicted too.

If you swear you’re not addicted, stop smoking.

Smoking is killing you. It’s the equivalent of consuming arsenic, a poison. No one consumes arsenic because they’re not addicted to arsenic. But I bet if you could get them addicted, they’d swear that they enjoyed the taste of it, that they weren’t addicted, and any other excuse that will justify continued arsenic consumption.

Are you with me yet?

Smoking is dumb. Yes, you can consume fresh fruit and vegetable juice. Yes, you will experience the benefits. However, while juicing fruits and vegetables can help to prevent cancer, it’s not going to do a prevent cancer IF YOU’RE STILL SMOKING CIGARETTES. Sure, you’ll be better off than someone who smokes but doesn’t juice. But you’ll still be behind people who don’t smoke and juice regularly.

If you’re scared shitless about quitting (admit it), suck it up and stop making it worse than it has to be. It’s not hard. Read Allen Carr’s Easy Way To Stop Smoking.

Start juicing. Use the juicing recipes on this website to get yourself started. You’ll need a juicer and some fresh fruits and vegetables. Juice regularly. Every day. Become aware of how smoking is destroying you.

I know how it feels. For a long time, I smoked and juiced at the same time. I figured that if I juiced, I’d offset the damage from smoking. Eventually I realized that I was being silly. If I stopped smoking and continued juicing, I could be on top of the world. And that’s where I am right now.

Come join me.

PS. The amount of people who die from smoking every day is ridiculous. It’s equivalent to 24 full jumbo jets crashing every day, for 365 days, with no survivors. If you don’t understand how juicing works, then you may find it difficult to lose weight.

The secret lies in the natural sugar.

Fruit juice tends to be high in natural sugar, because it’s, well, fruit. While fruit tastes great and delights the tongue, it’s not the best thing when it comes to weight loss.

Yes, fruit is healthy. Yes, you should probably consume fruit on a regular basis. But if weight loss is your primary goal, then forget about fruit for a few weeks.

Fruit is sugary and this means that fruit contains a bunch of calories. These calories will hinder your chances of losing weight.

As you can imagine, this applies when juicing. Fresh juice tastes delightful. When you mix grapes, berries, apple and pear, you end up with a heavenly mixture. But sadly, this mixture won’t help you in your weight loss goals.

Move over fruits. Drink vegetables.

Vegetables are low in calories.

Once you get used to them, they even taste great. However, while vegetables taste great, they’re not sweet. If you’re addicted to sugar, vegetables won’t satisfy that addiction.

Your only choice is to starve the addiction. Starve it with vegetables.

When it comes to juicing to help with weight loss, you want to focus on vegetables. If possible, you want to exclude fruit entirely, at least for the weight loss period. Suppose you decide to go on a diet for a few weeks. Decide not to consume fruit for those few weeks also. Just drink vegetable juice. Use fruit sparingly if necessary.

I’m a pretty slim dude and even I focus on vegetables. This is because the benefits of juicing tend to be higher with vegetables. If fruit is good for the body, vegetables are great for the body.

Are you with me?

Drink vegetable juice. That’s as simple is juicing to help with weight loss is.

Will it work?

Absolutely.

However, juicing vegetables is only part of the solution. Often, weight loss is determined by what you’re not eating, not what you’re eating. If you consume heavy carbs while drinking vegetable juice, you’re not going to get anywhere.

So during your juice diet, drink juice and stick with vegetables. For the rest of your diet, eat light and eat healthy. Avoid processed foods. Eat veggies and protein. SMALL amounts of carbs are ok.

Do You Start To Smell After Juicing?

Basics

Benefits

Juicing

Random

body

juicing

odor

smell

toxins

Some people like to ask funny questions. “Do You Start To Smell After Juicing?” This is one of the basics of juicing. It’s a basic question, but it’s also somewhat complicated. It sure makes people wonder and worry. I mean, who wants to start fruit and vegetable juicing if it’s just going to give them body odor?

No one.

Unfortunately, you may be one of the unlucky souls who starts to smell after juicing. In the end, it depends upon your genetics and your diet.

Many people start juicing to lose weight. They realize they’re overweight and they’re sick and tired of being sick and tired (I stole that…). So they start making fresh juice. But because their body is full of toxins and crap, they begin to smell. Their sweat reeks and their farts are enough to kill a small animal. The person then gives up and returns to the lifestyle and diet that caused the problem in the first place.

This is the silly thing.

A bad diet and a sedentary lifestyle do nothing for our health. When we consume nothing but junk and get very little exercise, our bodies suffer. Even when we consume the typical “healthy” Western diet, we’re not doing our body any favors. Most of the time, our diets are overloaded with heavy, processed food that slows us down.

Fresh fruit and vegetable juice is wonderful for the body. It also means death for toxins. You see, when you increase your health with the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants in fresh fruit and vegetable juice, your body performs at a higher level. It’s getting what it needs. It then starts eliminating all the junk from your body. Some of the ways it gets rid of toxins are through your sweat and through your gas. That’s why you smell bad.

So do you start to smell after juicing?

It depends upon your diet and lifestyle. If your body is full of toxins, if you have been eating a poor diet, if you get little to no exercise, then yes, when you start juicing you may start to smell.

However, DO NOT let this stop you. Push through it. It’ll only last a few days. There isn’t an infinite supply of toxins inside your body. Eventually, they will be mostly eliminated and you won’t smell anymore.

Think of it as the price to be healthy. Most people aren’t willing to pay it, which is why their health is average or worse. Be the person who’s willing to go the extra mile and your health will benefit. Keep juicing and start enjoying the health benefits of juicing.

5 Healthiest Vegetables To Juice With A Juicer

Benefits

Health

Juicing

Recipes

benefits

healthiest vegetables

to juice

vegetable juicing recipes

If you like juicing, check out the healthiest vegetables to juice. I really do. I look forward to each day in the gym with excitement.

It wasn’t always this way. There was a time when I couldn’t care less about working out. But now, I love it. I live for the pain; the burn.

The soreness from after the workout? That’s one of my favorite feelings. I usually take it as a sign that I’ve kicked some serious ass. Right now, I’m following the Stronglifts 5×5 workout plan.

What does any of this have to do with drinking cabbage juice after you workout?

It’s the soreness. You know when you’ve had a tough workout? You walk out of the gym and you’re buzzing. If it was real tough, your muscles will be shaking. When this happens, you can know that you’ll be sore later.

This is where the health benefits of cabbage juice come into play.

Cabbage juice is loaded with iodine, a nutrient that is essential for muscle development. Many people report increased muscle gains when including sizeable amounts of cabbage juice in their diets. Try drinking cabbage juice after you workout and see what it does for you.

Another great reason to drink cabbage juice after a workout is to relieve muscle soreness. Cabbage juice relieves muscle soreness by giving the body a ton of lactic acid which disinfects the colon and energizes you.

Don’t you hate muscle soreness?

Granted, it’s a good sign. So long as it’s not too intense, I like the feeling that I’ve worked my muscles hard. But sometimes, muscle soreness goes too far.

You know when you wake up in the morning and you’re all stiff? Perhaps it’s tough to get out of bed. Your muscles are stiff. You feel like you can’t move. While it’s satisfying to think that yesterday’s workout did the trick, it’s also a pain in the ass. Even worse than dragging your ass out of bed is what comes next.

Recall the stabbing pain that comes from walking down stairs the day after a leg workout?

Yes, I know it hurts.

While cabbage juice may not eliminate this entirely, it can help to drink cabbage juice after workout. It will speed up the healing process and you’ll be sore for a shorter amount of time. This means you’ll be fighting fit in no time at all.

That’s the secret. In the end, you just have to push through the pain. Sometimes, you are going to be sore. Sometimes, it’s going to feel like hell when you walk down stairs. That’s ok. Just remember where you’re going. Just remember the incredible health and vitality at the end of the tunnel.

Want cabbage juice recipes?

Try the Cabbage Cocktail and the Super Cabbage Juice.

How To Minimize Body Odor When Juicing

Basics

Health

Juicing

Random

So you want to know how to minimize body odor when juicing? At least, that’s if I smelt.

What is your body odor like? Do you stink? What does the smell resemble? What does it remind you of?

The first (and most obvious way) to get rid of body odor is with deodorant. Go to your local supermarket and buy some deodorant. Make yourself smell like flowers.

Or if you are a guy, smell like one of the dudes in the deodorant ads. Just don’t believe the image – you probably won’t be swamped by gorgeous ladies as soon as you apply the deodorant.

You’re probably wondering why you even have body odor in the first place?

Body odor is essentially sweat. There’s nothing wrong with sweat. If you taste it, it’ll probably just taste like salty water. Not too bad but not too good either. But what in the world makes it smell?

To understand how to minimize body odor when juicing, it will help to understand why you have body odor in the first place.

There are many reasons for body odor, including diet, genetics, gender and medication. Since you can’t control your genetics or gender (to a point), you’ll need to focus on what you can control.

Medication can lead to body odor, but far more often, a crap diet is the problem. You know the crappy stuff in fast food and processed food? That junk and those toxins have to exit your body somehow. Some exit via urination and when you empty your bowels. Others exit through your skin. The ones that exit through your skin, understandably, smell like a horses ass.

Diet is almost entirely under your control. If you want to know how to minimize body odor when juicing, cut the crap from your diet. Consume only fresh, healthy foods such as fruits, vegetables and nuts.

Some people find that when they begin juicing, their body odor goes wild. They smell worse than they have smelled in ages. They wonder why they smell bad when juicing is meant to be healthy. Well, as the powerful nutrients in fresh fruit and vegetable juice begin to work, the benefits of juicing take effect. One of the benefits of juicing is a dramatically increased ability to eliminate toxins. When you start juicing, your body will start eliminating toxins in overdrive. One of the ways it does this is with your sweat. Once the toxins have been eliminated, your sweat should lose its stinky odor.

What’s the solution to how to minimize body odor when juicing?

There is none. Get some good deodorant and use it to get you through the stinky period. Within a week or two, your body odor should disappear.

However, don’t forget that your diet has to change. Your bad body odor is likely a sign of your bad diet. So continue juicing, but also get rid of the crap food. Clean out your kitchen and commit to eating a kick ass diet that makes you feel awesome rather than smell bad.

Do You Lose Fiber When You Juice?

Basics

Juicing

Many people wonder, “do you lose fiber when you juice?”. Fiber is essential for good digestive health.

At the risk of being disgusting, let me explain what fiber is. Think of going to the restroom and doing a number 2 (in other words, poo, crap, shit, etc). Depending upon your diet, there will be a different consistency. Sometimes, it will be runny, like a milkshake, and sometimes it will be like a rock, and will struggle to exit.

Fiber affects this. Without fiber, digestion will slow. Your body will have a tough time creating stools. It will either be too runny, or it will be like a rock. Without fiber, you’ll end up with bowel cancer and a variety of digestive problems.

So, do you lose fiber when you juice?

Yes, unfortunately, you do.

Think about it. When you use a juicer, the juice comes out one funnel, and the pulp from somewhere else. The pulp is the fiber. Take a look at it. Squeeze it between your fingers. That is fiber and that is what your body needs.

So if juicing gets rid of fiber, why is juicing good?

The advantages of juicing are due to the extremely high level of nutrients that you can consume in a relatively short period of time. The simple of it is that it’s much faster to drink 5 carrots worth of juice than to eat them. While juicing strips the fiber, you get a huge hit of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. That’s why juicing is awesome. Some people claim that because juicing strips the fiber, it isn’t healthy.

I disagree. Wholeheartedly.

Juicing works, but it’s not the entire solution.

You need to eat fruits and vegetables as well. Juicing isn’t a magic solution, at least not on it’s own. It is best used alongside a fantastic diet. Juice all you want, but ensure you’re eating a few servings of vegetables every day.

Along with eating fruits and vegetables, try green smoothies. It’s the same as juicing, except you use a blender instead of a juicer. This means that you lose none of the fiber. You’ll need a powerful blender though. I broke a blender one day trying to make a green smoothie with spinach, celery and apple.

Do you lose fiber when you juice?

Yes, but don’t let that stop you from enjoying the amazing benefits of juicing. Just remember to eat fruits and vegetables. Also, try making a few green smoothies.

3 Raw Juice Recipes For The Liver

Juicing

Liver Cleanse

Recipes

liver

raw juice recipes

Many people ask me about raw juice recipes for the liver. Then I discovered how beneficial it was to cleanse the liver. Most of us tend to eat food that damages our liver rather than improves it. This leads to all sorts of problems, including decreased energy and increased sickness and disease. One cannot hope to be healthy without a healthy liver.

So then, how does one go about cleaning the liver?

By juicing, of course.

Juicing fruits and vegetables is one of the most powerful ways to cleanse the liver and get it into top performance shape. With the vast supply of fresh vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, the liver will be laughing it’s way to health. The liver loves the nutrition of fresh juice. Let’s take a look at 3 raw juice recipes for the liver.

1. The Liver Cleanser

Going by the name, you would hope that this recipe was good for the liver.

With grapefruit, beetroot, lemon, turmeric, ginger, cayenne pepper and more, the liver will have an orgasm (that is, if it could). This is one of my favorite juices for the morning time. It literally zaps your body into gear. I find I can feel this juicing recipe working it’s magic within 5 minutes of drinking it. Pretty cool, huh?

http://www.healthy-juicing.com/beet-juice-recipes/#livercleanser

2. Alert Me

How could you say no to a juice that will make you more alert?

For me, energy is everything. Energy is life. I detest anything that saps my energy. I used to party all the time, but you know what, drinking doesn’t do any favors for your energy. So I stopped. Now I can party any time I want, yet now, I’m completely sober and bursting with energy. It’s fun. I danced all night the other night, drinking water when needed.

http://www.healthy-juicing.com/beet-juice-recipes/#alertme

3. The Juice That Went Bang

Would you like to go bang? Would you like to make life so awesome that you laughed? Then drink this juice. It’s another great morning drink and will get your juices flowing (pun intended). Get a blender. Put some carrots in it. Then put a glass of water in. Then hit the “ON” switch.

Actually, it’s more complicated than that.

First, think about the density of carrots. They are pretty damn tough. Chewing on a carrot might be fun, but your blender might not think so. For carrots, you are going to need a rockstar of a blender. Check out the Blendtec. They make these awesome videos where they blend everything from ice to hockey pucks. That blender would tear a car apart if you let it.

Obviously, you can try this with whatever blender you have. However, be warned, you may break your blender. I broke a blender when I tried to make a potent green smoothie. The blender couldn’t cope with the powerful spinach, celery and apple. It broke down. The nutritional superpower was too much. Don’t let that happen to your blender.

Learn how to make carrot juice in a blender the right way.

Get a blender that can deal with the hard-as-nails (almost!) carrots.

The first thing you’ll need is a big bag of carrots. Ideally, you want to start with about a kilogram. That’s around 2.2 pounds.

Get your blender and set it on the bench. Place the bag of carrots into the blender. Then you can just kick it into gear. Blend the carrots until they are finely chopped or mashed. Get them nice and smooth. You want a bit of a carrot paste. That’s how to make carrot juice in a blender. That’s how you get the health benefits of carrot juice. Boom.

Pour your carrot juice into a large jug and add some water. Actually, just add the water in the blender. To a kilogram of carrots, add half a liter of water.

Let the mixture of carrot mush and water stand for 30 minutes. This will allow the pulp to settle.

Next, strain the mixture. That will get rid of the pulp. If you would like to be super healthy, don’t straight it. Just keep the pulp and drink the mixture. It’s better this way and good for your digestion.

After straining it, you’ll have a nice few glasses of tasty carrot juice that will improve your eyesight and boost your energy. Pour into a glass over ice, add one of those cocktail flags and drink away sunshine.

That’s how to make carrot juice in a blender.
