Juice fasting with apple juice is an awesome thing to do, as it’s a great way to cleanse and detoxify your body, much like a natural liver cleanse.
Whether you want to eat or drink them, apples are fantastic for the human body. Apples have been shown to provide a natural energy boost due to the natural sugars contained within.
They also improve brain function, eyesight and bone strength, as well as increase the body’s ability to lose weight.
The health benefits of apples are extensive and are one of the reasons apple juice fasting is so beneficial.
How to Do a 3 Day Apple Juice Fast
Doing it is simple.
Prepare your body for the fast by eating light the day before. Don’t go “all out” the night before. Enjoy a light salad for dinner the night before and leave it at that. This will gear your system up for the fast.
Next, drink fresh apple juice for three days and nothing else. Drink as much as you can.
During the fast, drink lots of water too. Some people struggle to drink enough water, whether during a fast or not. To overcome this, I find keeping a water bottle or a glass next to me ensures I drink enough water throughout the day.
On the fourth morning, ease yourself out of the fast with two tablespoons of olive oil. This will enhance digestion and will help your body adjust itself back to normal.
Break the fast on the fourth day with a fresh juice for breakfast, such as carrot, apple, celery and ginger (see below). In the afternoon, eat a light meal of fruits and vegetables. For dinner, consider adding something more substantial like rice.
By the fifth day, you should be ready to return to your normal diet from before the fast. Ideally, this is a diet high in fruits and vegetables. As well as your diet, ensure you get enough exercise.
For three day juicing fasting with apples, the apple juice needs to be fresh and organic.
Typical supermarket apples are often covered in pesticides and wax that are difficult to remove simply by washing. For this reason, buy organic apples to use for the duration of the juice fast.
Don’t buy bottled apple juice. Actually, don’t buy apple juice period, unless you see them make it fresh in front of you.
Get your juicer and use juicing to make your own apple juice.
Benefits of Apple Juice Fasting
3 day juice fasting with apple juice is not about energy. During the fast itself, you will likely feel less energetic than your usual self, however, this is nothing to worry about.
While apple juice is fantastic, juice fasting with apple juice is about cleaning out. It’s about getting rid of toxins and giving your body a spring clean. Following the fast, apple is best combined with vegetables for nutritional reasons. You will likely feel your energy return and your body will perform at a higher level than before as there are less toxins present to drag it down.
Some people believe that during an apple juice fast, the interior of cells throughout the body are cleaned out.
Juice Fasting Apple Recipes
Huh? You don’t need a recipe!
It’s just apple juice!
Grab two, three or four apples (or more!) and juice them. Then do it again. And again. And again.
Keep doing it for three days. That’s about as simple as it gets. How often should you make the juice? Whenever you feel hungry or want something to consume.
